2026 Irrigation System Turn ON Schedule

Mark your calendar. HydroTech will be turning ON the lawn irrigation systems for residences in Linworth Village on Saturday, April 11 and Saturday, April 18, beginning each day at 8:00 AM. This Turn ON service by HydroTech is paid for by the Linworth Village Association.

‍ ‍- April 18 - Augusta Glen Dr, Congressional Way, Linworth Village Drive

Access to your home is necessary to complete the service (turn on the water to the irrigation system and program/check the watering schedule). No repair work will be done on the scheduled turn on day. If no one will be home on your street’s scheduled service date, consider providing a key to a neighbor to give HydroTech access to your home for the turn on service.

If you don’t want HydroTech to perform the turn on service, notify Board Member Joe Schehr at 614-441-5510 or jcschehr228@gmail.com, by the end of the day April 6.

There will NOT be a makeup day scheduled or paid for by the Association. If your home is not accessible on the designated Saturday, the homeowner will be responsible for re-scheduling the turn on service with HydroTech (614-902-0160) or a vendor of your choice, at your expense.

Annual irrigation system backflow valve testing (required by the City of Columbus) will take place April 24 through April 26 and will be conducted by RDL Backflow Testers. The backflow valve (located on your home’s exterior) prevents outside water from backing up into your home’s water supply. The irrigation system water source/valve must already be turned on for this test to be performed, but no one needs to be home for the testing.

If you don’t want RDL to perform the backflow valve testing service, notify Board Member Joe Schehr at 614-441-5510 or jcschehr228@gmail.com, by the end of the day April 13.

Backflow valve testing by RDL is paid for by the Linworth Village Association. The City charges a $25 fee on your water bill for recording the inspection certificate filed by whichever vendor performs the backflow valve test. If you hire a company other than RDL to perform the backflow valve testing, ensure the company files the inspection certificate with the City in a timely manner to prevent the City from turning off the water to your residence.

RDL will leave an inspection completion tag on the outside backflow valve after they complete the inspection. If a repair of the backflow valve system is required, RDL will leave a notification tag on your front door with their contact information. The homeowner will need to make the arrangement with RDL or another vendor or your choice to make the repair (at your expense) before the test can be successfully completed. If RDL performs the repair work, they won’t charge an additional fee for the subsequent backflow check.
